In 2007, it became a Disneyland Dream Suite. The second floor of the Disneyland version was supposed to be an apartment for the Disney family, but it opened as an art retail and museum location instead. However, he didn’t get to see the completed attraction because he died just months before it opened. Pirates of the Caribbean first opened in Disneyland in 1967, and it was the last attraction that was directly overseen by Walt Disney himself. This is an interesting area because it brings together the jungle in Jungle Cruise, a tropical island in The Enchanted Tiki Room, and a desert oasis in The Swiss Family Treehouse and Magic Carpets. You’ll cross a wooden plank bridge and walk under a sign welcoming you to Adventureland. If you walk down Main Street USA and turn to your left, Adventureland is the first land you’ll encounter. There are great things in California Adventure like a Guardians of the Galaxy Dance Off with Star Lord (how cool is that!), an updated Pixar Play Parade and much, much more. This summer if you visit Disneyland, be sure to check out the Summer of Heroes! This is kicking off with the newly opened Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout attraction and ride (I can’t wait to check this one out next time). From delicious food items, pin trading, amazing rides and finding your favorite character in the park – you will have a blast, and definitely hit your step goal for the day! I love the magic in the park and how you always feel that childhood magic surrounding you.

We made our way through the park and enjoyed a Dole Whip, rode some of our favorite rides and even found new ones.

But that doesn’t mean we didn’t have a great time. Our day at Disneyland was hot, and you’d expect it to be in Anaheim, and the park was packed! It was a day for high school seniors and the lines were longer than I expected.
